Field Trips

Bring your class to Hefner Zoology Museum! Our programs are FREE, and we welcome public, private and homeschool educators. Our knowledgeable staff will guide your students as they participate in hands-on and inquiry-based activities, discover our collections through interactive scavenger hunts, and/or explore the outdoors in Miami's Natural Areas. We have established programs for preK-12 students, or we can tailor a program to match your specific curriculum requirements. All programs and activities are connected to Ohio academic content standards.

To Schedule a Visit:

  1. Download the Field Trip Reservation Form [PDF].
  2. Complete the form and email it to Mike Wright at wrightmf@muohio.edu. Alternatively, you may contact him by phone at 513.529.6084.
  3. Your visit and program selection will be confirmed by email.

For more information about the museum and preparing for a field trip, please see A Guide to A Successful Field Trip [PDF]. We also have a Chaperone Guide [PDF], Permission Slip [PDF], and Campus Map [PDF] to help you prepare for your visit.

We strive to improve our programs and services and invite you to complete an Evaluation [PDF] after your visit.
