Science Alliance
Science Alliance was established in 2001 by a Miami graduate student at the Center for Environmental Education, Natural History and Conservation. This innovative program is a partnership between Miami science and science education graduate students and the Talawanda School District. Graduate students engage K-12 learners in hands-on and inquiry-based lessons from the natural and physical sciences. Classroom teachers can request specific topics, which will be presented at their location of choice. This program is free to all Talawanda teachers and their students.
Who Benefits from Science Alliance?
- K-12 students benefit by participating in hands-on experiences and interacting with young scientists.
- Teachers benefit by accessing an innovative learning resource.
- Graduate students benefit by improving their instructional abilities.
