Hefner Zoology Museum

We offer a special thanks to the family of Robert A. Hefner, who established the museum in the 1950s. Doc Hefner's abiding fascination and respect for nature continues to flourish in his children and grandchildren, and we greatly appreciate their continued interest and support. A Butler County Rural Electric Cooperative Community Connections grant provides bus funds for Butler County school classes to visit the museum.

Paul M. Daniel Classroom

Paul and Lois Daniel spent many years in Oxford and dedicated much time and energy to Miami University and the Hefner Zoology Museum. We gratefully acknowledge their tireless work on behalf of the museum and are fortunate to call them colleagues and friends.

Exhibit Sponsorship

Thanks to the Bever Family of Oxford and the Duke Energy Foundation, we are able to maintain and enhance the Hefner Zoology Museum's exhibits for the enjoyment of our visitors.

Discovery Trunks

Thanks to the Oxford Community Foundation's generous support, teachers and students now have access to additional museum resources for use in their classrooms.

Science Alliance

Thanks to the Molyneaux Foundation and the Miami Partnership Office, our Science Alliance partnership with Talawanda City Schools continues to benefit Talawanda teachers and students and Miami graduate students alike.
